Q:

The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976, Dir. Nicolas Roeg)

David Bowie plays an alien who comes to Earth seeking water for his dying planet — and gets addicted to human greed, lust, and television.
It’s surreal, erotic, lonely, and ahead of its time. Roeg’s fractured storytelling and Bowie’s haunted performance make it less a movie and more an alien experience.
If fame and capitalism could destroy a star, this is what it would look like.
