Just finished it.

Intense as it comes. Set in SF in the 70s, scientists come to reckon with humanoids that duplicate as clones from original host. Over time you don’t know who is infected, or trust. The ending is pure “scream”. Classic of Donald Sutherland doing some of his best work.
