The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

After his parents’ death, a boy moves in with his eccentric uncle, only to discover that their house is literally alive with magic. Jack Black and Cate Blanchett play off each other perfectly, mixing creepy humor with heart. The film balances gothic weirdness with warmth, making it spooky but safe for younger teens. Its visuals are delightfully inventive. A cozy, clockwork fantasy about found family and courage.
