Q:

Neverness – David Zindell (1988)

A mathematical mystic, an order of cosmic pilots, and a universe where religion and science finally merge — badly.
Zindell’s Neverness is massive in scope and ambition, packed with equations, philosophy, and heartbreak. It reads like Dune filtered through a metaphysics seminar taught by Carl Jung.
It’s not an easy read, but it’s one of those rare books that makes space travel feel like a spiritual experience.
