Before Princess Mononoke, there was Nausicaä — the original eco-warrior queen. This movie is a hymn to empathy wrapped in a war epic. The world feels ancient yet futuristic, filled with toxic jungles and moral clarity. Nausicaä herself might be my favorite hero of all time — gentle, fierce, and endlessly curious.

A fantasy that remembers science, and a hero that remembers kindness.
