The Songbird and the Heart of Stone

(Carissa Broadbent)

An emotionally charged, richly layered romantasy that plunges into the underworld of gods, vampires, and shattered faith. Mische—once a devoted follower of the sun god Atroxus, now a vampire condemned for murder—partners with the brooding Asar of the House of Shadow on a deadly quest.

Their evolving bond, the stark moral choices and the Gothic descent all sparkle with tension. I found the pacing uneven and the imagery overwhelming, yet thr novel delivers a haunting atmosphere, complex characters and a romance that lingers long after the final page.

Strongly recommended for dark-romantasy fans.
