Q:

Bride

Bride by Ali Hazelwood is a lively paranormal romance that blends werewolf-vampire politics with a sizzling enemies-to-lovers twist.

Misery Lark, a vampire caught in a peace-marriage deal with the alpha werewolf Lowe Moreland, embarks on a mission to find her missing friend only to find her feelings entangled in something much deeper. The banter is witty, tons of fun world-building and obviously a sharp heroine.

The romance chemistry however was lukewarm, and the third-act conflict felt rather contrived.

If you’re looking for a fast, spicy, fun paranormal romance with strong humour and a STEM-savvy heroine, this hits the spot. But if you crave deeply original world-building or a romance that unfolds at a glacier’s pace, you may find it a little surface-level.
